FIRST SCREENING

We’re going back in time and pedaling a [r]evolution… looking through the years and the Big Bike Film Night journey, showcasing the best cycling short films from around the world.

A collection of short movies that have everything a cycling-centric audience could want and crave- action, drama, humour and plenty of inspiration; the evening is going to be undeniably, unquestionably, utterly Bike-alicious!

These short films are a great reminder of why we love to ride our bike; with stories that captivate us, stories that make us think and most importantly of all- stories that inspire us to get on a bike. Tales of character, soul, hope, love, discovery, challenge, courage, triumphs over adversity and much, much more.

SECOND SCREENING

Friday 25th January at 7pm – doors open at 6pm

We’re excited to bring you the Global and New Zealand Premier of ‘One Day Ahead’.

One extraordinary adventure for 8 Kiwis! Taking the challenge of a lifetime, as the first New Zealand team to ride all 21 stages of the Tour De France, one day ahead of the actual race in July 2018. All in support of the Mental Health Foundation.  Watch the trials and tribulations of the group as the take on the challenge under the guidance of retired Tour de France and Olympic silver medallist Hayden Roulston.

In the words of Mike Conza, Team NZ TdF Member, “The documentary itself is a microcosm of life compressed into 21 stages with the highs and lows of human emotion as we bond as a team to attempt to finish one of the world’s toughest cycle races. I’m forever grateful for this opportunity and if I have one message to audiences it is chase your dreams.  What seems impossible – with a lot of focus and tenacity can become reality.” says Mike Conza, Team NZ TdF Member.

After the film finishes, there will be a Q&A session with ALL of the 8 Kiwi riders – this is an evening not be missed.
