The RIDE Countdown is on!

It’s now less than three weeks until New Zealand’s biggest cycling festival hits the Waikato.
The Three Peaks RIDE: New Zealand’s Cycling Festival runs alongside the New Zealand Cycle Classic from 22 January to 27 January and include a wide range of cycling activities and events for people of all ages and abilities.
The UCI 2.2 Grassroots Trust New Zealand Cycle Classic will see 15 international and 5 domestic teams compete in a five-stage road tour across Waipa Home of Champions and extending into the Waikato. The event is in its 32nd year and is the country’s most significant road racing tour.
Among the many community events planned for the week is the return of a mass participation cycling event in Cambridge. The HOBBITON Movie Set Gran Fondo, takes place on January 26th and will include a unique pit stop at the world-famous Hobbiton Movie Set in Matamata (entries now open). The afternoon of the Gran Fondo will feature the Good George Maunga Madness – a spectator event atop the spectacular Pukemako, previously known as Maungakawa Scenic Reserve, celebrating the epic finish of the UCI Classic Queen Stage.
